Leatherlips YC takes new members twice a year. You don't need a boat. You don't need to race. You do need to like small-club life — dinners, work parties, and pitching in.
§ 01 How it works
Four steps. Takes 30 days.

Step 1
Apply
Fill out the form. We ask for basics, a boat or sailing history, and two references.

Step 2
Visit
Come to a Thursday dinner or an open house. Meet a few members.

Step 3
Board reviews
Board meets monthly. Decisions within two weeks of the meeting.

Dues & dock
Pay your first year, pick a slip when your seniority window opens.
§ 02 Dues
What it costs.
Dues cover dock, clubhouse, shared boat maintenance, and insurance. Racing fees, dinners, and slip are billed separately.

- One adult. Full voting privileges.

- Family
- Two adults + juniors under 21. One vote.
- $1,450 / yr
- Junior
- Ages 21–29. No initiation.
- $350 / yr
- Social
- Dinner, dock, no boat. No voting.
- $550 / yr
- Life
- 25+ years active. No dues.
